2015 Summer Update
Since 2007, we have been involved in SportsMinistry. I remember that summer like it was yesterday; we had only 80 participants in 2 camps. Since then God has started something new in our life. Sports Ministry became signi - cant. I became excited playing soccer that summer and sharing the Gospel. I really wanted to make a di erence in the world, in my city, in some kid’s life. Our rst camp we called “Time Out”. It was time out in my life, when I stopped and saw God’s vision for my life. I wanted to make a di erence. I can’t change the world. But I can do something, that would lead to small changes in a child’s heart, in one family. Over time, though, I believe small changes add up. God use these changes to transform people around us, our cities, nations, and yes, even the world.
This summer
Our schedule for the summer was as hot as the weather in the country. Perhaps the busiest summer in our ministry, yet. We covered about 7,500 miles across the country, and you have to double it because of the Ukrainian roads. We enjoyed every moment of it, knowing that every individual is extremely important; every life matters. We are chasing children’s smiles, not a ball. We are involved in a race and it is not to produce better athletes. This is the race to the heart of the child and we hope to win. We hope to be God’s instruments in making small changes in their lives.
This summer we were able to be part of 11 different projects, which included di erent sports camps, tourna- ments and outdoor ministries. 933 participants heard about salvation and some even dedicated their life to Jesus.
Regina has been involed in the pregnancy crisis center – «Women's Center». It has been open for clients just over a year now. We o er free pregnancy tests, counseling, free ultra- sounds, humanitarian aid such as maternity clothes, baby clothes, diapers, and some basic produce. We also provide a prenal class, mom's club and Bible studies. Volunteers also continual- ly have trainings and studies. God continues to bring new clients to the Women’s Center and several of our returning clients have agreed to begin studying the Story of Hope Bible study with us. Pray that God would continue to bring women in need to our center and that we would see souls saved through this ministry.
